Ex-Bengals cheerleader engaged to former student
The former Cincinnati Bengals cheerleader and Kentucky high-school teacher who admitted a sexual relationship with a former student is now engaged to that student.
In October, Sarah Jones, 28, pleaded guilty to felony custodial interference and misdemeanor sexual conduct for her relationship with 17-year-old Cody York. As part of the plea, Jones avoided jail time but agreed to never coach or teach again.
York, who is now a 19-year-old college student, and Jones were engaged Thursday, according to her Facebook page. The Cincinnati Enquirer says her page shows a photo of the couple kissing and Jones wearing a ring.
For five seasons, Jones worked as a Ben-Gals cheerleader. She didn’t try out for the squad after her relationship with York was discovered. She now works as a paralegal.
