AL leader bullet hit by in Rajbari

RAJBARI, June 9: A local Awami League leader sustained bullet wound in a gun attack by some terrorists in Goalondo uapzila Saturday midnight, reports UNB.
The victim was Md Nurul Islam, 42, president of Daulatdia union Awami League and chairman of the union parishad.
Family sources said when Nurul Islam was returning home from union AL office at about 12 am a gang of terrorists opened fire on him near Daulatdia bazar, leaving him injured.
He was rushed to Faridpur Medical College Hospital in critical condition. He received four bullets on his body in the attack.
Local people caught three people-Farukh, Biplob and Shohag-suspecting their involvement in the attack and handed them over to police after a mass beating. They were admitted to uapzila health complex.
Another rerpot adds: At least 15 people were injured in a clash between two groups of villagers over a trifling matter at Bannyakandi village in Faridpur upazila Saturday afternoon.
Police and witnesses said when Chand Ali Mollah was returning home with a cart over the land of Abdul Quddus Mollah he (Quddus) obstructed him, triggering a clash between their supporters at about 2 pm.
